Overview of committee, facilitator, board, staff and community’s roles and responsibilities in search process/screening provided by Bob
Important for all members of committee to commit to attending all sessions, but “Life Happens” situations can be unavoidable and understood
Committee discussed and determined that a simple majority rule would be sufficient in most discussions of the group, but an 80/20 would be more valuable in the vote to bring candidates forward to the Board.
Discussion regarding Schoolspring, process by which candidate info will be provided to committee, and system for rating/evaluating candidates ie, Skype interviews, visitation days, reference checking
Letter to be sent out to all boards and building principals with “Establishing Board and/or Screening Committee Search Criteria” form attached. Responses requested from all board members, and one from each building, community input also useful. Forms to be returned to Bob Stevens by February 11, 2013 for compilation.
This information will help to establish road map for search committee.
